NUBESS Partners Forward Aid Foundation To Offer Free Sustainable Farming Training And Other Agricultural Benefits To Benue State Students

Today, 9th March, 2022 the Universal President of over 2.7 million Students of Benue State origin, Cadre Ajir Victor, GCBS signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Forward Aid Foundation (FAF).

Forward Aid Foundation (FAF), a Non-Governmental organization established under the laws of Nigeria with its office in Makurdi, Benue State has the mandate and goal of improving the livelihood of the rural, poor and destitute in areas where it works, within the framework of sustainable development in Nigeria.

The collaboration is to train Benue State Students on sustainable Agricultural development through expansion, enhancement and demonstration of sustainable farming practice in Benue State and increase farm yields for food security by adopting Students-farmers training and inputs subsidy for the top priority crops like Rice, Cassava, Maize, Soyabeans, Yam etc.

Cadre Ajir Victor applauded the Foundation for its relentless efforts in impacting society positively and assured of a smooth partnership.

The President urged Students to be productive and build themselves not to be at a total loss because of the fight between the government and ASUU.

“We are Benue state Students, we constitute the largest percentage of Benue population and we are capable of changing the status quo and Benue will reclaim her lost glory as Food basket of the Nation,” the President said.

The Executive Director, Forward Aid Foundation, Comr. Dickson Akaatyo admired the courage and passion of the current leadership of NUBESS. He further appreciated the NUBESS President and his Executives for the giant stride taken to enhance the welfare of Benue students. He promised on behalf of Forward Aid Foundation to give their best for a greater Benue.
