Dear Governor Samuel Ortom
Governor Samuel Ortom, a governor enmeshed in a frustrating leadership of crises, killings, burning and destruction.
Sir, your leadership has seen some of Benue’s worse trouble times, from constant Herdsmen attacks and killings, communal clashes, military clampdown, Sankera killings and the Gana saga, Denen and Adyoughrough brutal murder as your staff and security aid and all manner of crises.
We must look towards tomorrow but we must make today a reason to have a better tomorrow. Nothing can achieve or bring peace except through dialogue.
The mantle of leadership you ride on is tough and perilous. It gives no room for concrete development but cries, wailing and blood from brutal killings of Benue sons and daughters flowing down the river Benue.
We have prayed, fasted and dedicated Benue to God but our dedication and prayers seems not to be enough to touch the heavens and evoke God’s protection.
We must pray and fast more but we must as a matter of necessity, use our human power of interactions to seek dialogue and diplomacy with those who want us dead by all means. On Benue land we stand and on the anti-open grazing and ranches establishment law we rest our hope. Remember, President Mohammadu Buhari will not be president forever and like you, he is also enmeshed in crises all over Nigeria. We must look towards tomorrow but we must make today a reason to have a better tomorrow. Nothing can achieve or bring peace except through dialogue.
The task is tough but it is on your shoulders to carry as our Governor. May God in His infinite mercy grant you the understanding to lead us through and out of these trouble times.
Long live Benue!

I hope he reads this. We need our governor now more than ever to help us.
Chekwa Sir Ralph
How I wish he reads…
It is has not been easy with those of us residing in the State, crisis from within and from Killer Herdsmen.
Only by His grace!
