Are You Holding Yourself Accountable?

When certain services are made free, a lot of people don’t value them – this I have experienced first hand.

For the past week or two. I have been on the road – juggling tasks and holding virtual sessions from our Arte- Vision closure to handling support for our past clients.

In all the time I devote time to give support on behalf of our organization to past clients to ensure effective implementation of the knowledge we passed onto them, I discovered a lot of people are not keen on doing same.

I also noticed when certain services are made free, a lot of people don’t value them – this I have experienced first hand.

We have to begin to acknowledge our faults, actions and inactions to the results we get whether at the workspace, school, home and other environs.

Now, this support includes spending huge monies to make available the virtual facilities needed but people still don’t want to be held accountable for their actions and inactions.

When someone is taught how to do something, but they are unable to or fail, they blame the authorities who put them through because what- I can’t be accountable for failures I made.

This I can relate to, after all, I graduated from Benue State University, BSU with a third class – I hold myself accountable for that. I can’t completely say I didn’t play a part, because I did.

I passed the Law school exams with excellence, do I give kudos to the school for granting me excellence? No. I said I did it.

It’s so difficult for us to accept the part we take towards attaining failure but we don’t hesitant towards claiming the excellence.

We have to begin to acknowledge our faults, actions and inactions to the results we get whether at the workspace, school, home and other environs.
