More About Terry Korgba

Artists, Creatives, Stories 28/10/2024 by Akaafele

I am Terry Korgba also known as Shadayah, a Music Artist by passion with a talent of dancing.

My passion for music is inspired by a need to express myself. I have written and composed songs in Afro-Hip-Hop genre [2 albums titled Grassroot Project (2006) and More Than a Man (2008) and singles]. I have also written and produced a Movie titled Ka-ana in 2012.

My happiest moments are when I’m composing my own songs. My type of music can be termed Afro-hip-hop with a blend of Tiv language on top of contemporary hip hop beats, rhythm and melodies. My music is not focused for commercial purposes but for inspiration and motivation.

My dance steps are swangé and breakdancing and I see dancing as a way of self-expression and for entertainment. I choose swangé because of the unique way it is done igniting and accelerating deep thoughts and imagination when done very well.

My confidence when holding and using the microphone gives me the courage to run the role of Master of Ceremonies (MC) for any occasion and I’m always braced up for the task if or when called upon.

I hail from Buruku local government area of Benue State, Nigeria.

I graduated from Benue State University with my first degree in Mass Communication in 2007, and I had my Postgraduate studies at the same institution.

After mandatory National Youth Service, I was retained by Benue State University as an Administrative Assistant. I rose through the ranks to become an Administrative officer and later an Assistant Registrar designated to the Information Unit, where I doubled as Master of Ceremonies (MC) of the citadel of learning.
